Glenn Smith, DN, DC, LAC, treats his patients in a natural care, family practice office. After completing undergraduate studies in mechanical engineering at Valparaiso University, Dr. Smith received a doctor of naprapathy degree from the Chicago National College of Naprapathy, where he met his wife, Dr. Julie Duda Smith. He completed a physicians course in oriental medicine at the Midwest Center of Oriental Medicine, making him uniquely qualified to practice Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr.Smith completed his residency at Cook County Hospital in the pain management clinic. Dr. Smith also holds a doctor of chiropractic degree from the National Chiropractic College in Lombard and is board certified in naturopathy, naprapathy and acupuncture. As the only Chinese medicine trained provider in the area, Dr. Smith is qualified to diagnose and treat internal disorders including chronic fatigue, ADD and ADHD, headaches, infertility and menstrual disorders. Dr. Smith also serves on the hospital tumor board, giving him an opportunity to discuss complementary therapies in cancer care. Dr. Smith and his wife enjoy an active life in the Freeport community, and can often be found playing instruments and singing in local musical groups. The couple lives on a farm and raise alpacas.

As a doctor of naprapathy and chiropractic, Julie Smith DN,DC enjoys helping people maintain health and prevent diseases naturally. She has been practicing since 1984. Dr. Julie Smith received a bachelor’s degree in physical education with an emphasis in dance from Illinois State University. Upon earning her doctorate from the Chicago National College of Naprapathy, she became a doctor of chiropractic and board-certified naturopath. She is also certified to perform acupuncture. With her background in dance and physical education, Dr. Julie enjoys working with rehabilitation of injuries, as well as with musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. As a complementary medicine provider, she treats a variety of internal disorders, including chronic fatigue, candidiasis, anxiety, and female hormone status. Outside the office, Dr. Julie Smith and her husband, Dr. Glenn Smith, raise alpacas. She also enjoys playing music, teaching dance, exercise classes and renovating houses.
